Today, we have a 2024 Ford Maverick and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Demco Stay-in-Play Duo supplemental braking system. In addition to your supplemental braking system, you're gonna need four other main flat towing components in order to safely flat tow your Ford Maverick. One is going to be your tow bar, another one is going to be your diode wiring, your safety chains, and then your base plate. A supplemental braking system in your Ford Maverick is going to be designed to apply the brakes in the Maverick while you're flat towing it behind your motor home. Motor homes are not designed to stop a vehicle when it's stopping itself. more

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System with Coachlink on our 2024 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Your five main components are going to be your tow bar, which will connect your RV to your Jeep, your base plate, which is a physical connection that the tow bar connects to, your supplemental braking system, which helps the Jeep to come to a safe and slow stop behind the motorhome, your diode wiring kit, which is going to transfer the lighting signals from the back of your motorhome to the back of your Jeep, and then finally, your safety cables. This is going to come into play in an unlikely disconnect. If the tow bar we inchesre to ever come disconnected from the Jeep, those safety cables are gonna kick in and keep the Jeep behind you so that you can get over to the side of the road and come to a safe and slow stop. Now, the way this kit is going to work is it's going to take an air signal from your coach and apply the brakes on the inside of your Jeep while you're flat towing it down the road. more

There's five required components when flat towing any vehicle. And on our Chevy 1500 today, we'll start by taking a look at the base plate. And the base plate is gonna mount to where the factory tow hooks were or structurally to the frame of the vehicle, creating a mounting point for the rest of your components and also your tow bar. Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the best flat-tow setup for 2024 Chevrolet Equinox. Now there's five main components required for flat-towing your Equinox down the road, and we will start on the vehicle side and that's gonna start with the base plate and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle and gives us the structural mounting point for the rest of our connections. And the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV is gonna be your tow bar and that's your second component. Again, this is the physical attachment, basically like the coupler of your trailer, this is what is going to pull this down the road. Now, just like a trailer, you also have safety cables, just in case of disconnect. It's gonna attach to the safety chain loops and then also the ones on the hitch of the RV, we have diode wiring, which is gonna transmit the light signals from the RV to the taillights on the towed vehicle, giving you your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights, keeping you safe and legal. more

Demco SBS with Wireless Coachlink Installation - 2023 Ford Bronco- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System on a 2023 Ford Bronco. There's gonna be five main components that are gonna be required for a flat tow up vehicle and there may be a few extra things that you'll have to add, but the basics that you'll have to have legally are going to start with our base plate, and that's going to become the mounting point for all your components and it attaches attaches to the frame of the vehicle. So it's a structural mounting point that has arms here that allows you to get your tow bar connected to it. Your tow bar is a connecting point between the base plate on your towed vehicle and the hitch on the RV. Now, along with that where our arms attach, we also have these safety chain loops. So just like a trailer, you have your safety cables, making sure that in case of a disconnect, it's gonna keep everything attached. more

Well, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System on 2024 Chevrolet Equinox. Now, this is gonna be available in two different configurations. You'll able to get it with a three diode light up brake indicator that goes on the rear view mirror of your vehicle, or you can get it with wireless coach link that's gonna transmit a signal to the dash on the RV. That way, you can see right away that your brakes are being applied. Now, there's five main components required for flat towing your Equinox down the road and we'll start on the vehicle side and that's gonna start with the base plate and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle and gives us the structural mounting point for the rest of our connections. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Braking System on a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Now this is gonna be available in two different configurations and it really comes down to which way you want to indicate that the brakes are being applied. Today we have our wireless CoachLink, which is really nice. It allows you to see that on the dash of the vehicle, but it's also available in a three LED light up configuration as well. Now there's five main components required when flat towing your Wrangler and starting on the vehicle side we have our base plate and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle creating a structural mounting point for your tow bar and all the rest of your components. Your tow bar is the connection point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV. more

Before we do that though, let's talk about what it actually does and if you're gonna need to use it or not. So the stoplight switch is a small component, but an important one, and it's really going to be needed with only a handful of different supplemental braking systems, at least right off the top of my head that I can think of. And if your braking system uses an indicator light, then chances are really good, you're gonna need this kit or want to use it rather. And those systems that I can think of are the Roadmaster Invisibrake, the Demco Stay-In-Play Duo, as well as the Stay-In-Play Duo with the wireless coaching and that's what we have here today. more

Now, there's a lot of reasons why you might be looking into a portable braking system, but what really makes the Blue Ox Patriot shine is its smaller size. In their past versions, the Patriot 1, 2, and 3, the unit itself was a lot larger, so it didn't fit very well in a lot of floorboards. Well, they've made the same machine in a lot smaller package, so that you can get it to fit in those tighter spaces.
